How in the world have we been in this crazy mess for 20 days!? Time has been passing so quickly! I hope the next couple months can pass just as quickly.
Sweet Isabelle has been doing great. Still no positive result from the culture so it's looking like the antibiotics did their job! They'll continue her antibiotics for another week just to make sure they completely get rid of the infection. They're also giving her some probiotics to keep the good bacteria in her belly and an antifungal to make sure yeast doesn't take over and make things worse.
She has weaned a little on her ventilator today and her oxygen has been in the mid 20's today. Unfortunately the infection took a toll on her little little lungs and it will take a little bit of time for them to take her off the ventilator again, but she is stable and improving.
All the nurses keep telling us that she's feisty! Lol which is definitely a good thing! She won't give up without a fight. Every time the nurses get in to do her cares she gets really upset, she calms down again once she's all swaddled and has her bean bag on her.
She's on full feedings, which is 18 mL at each Care time. What a difference from the 1 mL she got on day 1! She's still tolerating the feedings great and she weighs an even 2lbs.
Really not much has changed today but she's still headed in the right direction. I got to hold her for 2 hours today! I quite literally could hold her all day if they would let me, she's just so sweet!!

We are so grateful that she has been blessed with all of these miracles.
