Sweet Isabelle has been surprising us with how good her lungs are doing, she got extubated today! Now she just has the nasal canula. It still helps her breathe, just not as much as the other ventilations. We're hoping she does good enough that she won't need to be intubated again, she hates having the tube down her throat.
Another big milestone today is that she weighs 2 lbs. 11 oz! She's officially gained 1 lb. since birth! I can't believe that she'll be 3 lbs. soon! She eats 20 mL at each feeding now and she's been getting a little chunkier lately.
They did an ultrasound on her leg today to make sure that clot is for sure gone, and it is!
