Happy first Easter Izzy! We were moved to room 2 today, thank goodness! It is much calmer in this new room than it was yesterday in room 1. Izzy doesn't do very good with a lot of noise, she gets really flustered and wiggly, so I think this will be great for her healing process.
She did really good on her ventilator today! She wasn't relying on the vent nearly as much, so that's a good sign. They are still contemplating putting her on steroids to help her lungs after the antibiotic treatment is over.
While we were visiting she went into one of her tachycardia spells and her heartrate got up to 310! They let it go on for 5 minutes before they intervened because they wanted to see if she would snap out of it by herself or not. She didn't, so they had to put ice on her head and she came out of it within a couple minutes. They most likely will be increasing her propranolol dosage since she's started having these spells again. Poor baby! It breaks my heart to see her struggle.
