Izzy is doing good! They weaned her vent a little last night and she handled it great, so they are thinking about weaning a little more tonight, we'll see!
When we questioned them about starting her on steroids they agreed that it would be a good idea to do a respiratory viral panel to see if there's any virus floating around in those lungs. We are so glad that everyone listens to us and takes our concerns seriously! We all just want Izzy to do the best that she can. Luckily the panel came back negative so they started her on steroids to hopefully help her get off the vent for good.
Klay got to hold her today and she did great! She sure loves her daddy :)
