They started the skittle on steroids today, so hopefully that can help her once they decide to extubated. They said that she'll be on steroids for 7 days, they start with a higher dose and then slowly wean the dose so her body doesn't just go right back to where it was. From what I understood, steroids pretty much take over for all the glands in your body. If they just give her a couple doses and then stop all the sudden, her glands don't have time to start working on their own again. Hopefully this way will be better for her so she doesn't get sick again!
